Salman Khan's Journey the Icon of Bollywood

Salman Khan, the most popular actor of the Indian movie world, has not only touched the hearts of the people who watch him, but also gained a big time in his career. He was born on December 27, 1965 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. He was born to the legendary writer Salim Khan and first wife of Salim Sushila Charak. Salman was born into the family of film stars- that itself was a launch platform for great career from young age.

 Early Life and Education

Salman’s childhood was largely influenced by the fact that his family had a relation with cinema. Salman spent his childhood in Mumbai and developed a passion for acting. Salman went to St. Stanislaus High School in Bandra and later joined the Elphinstone College. However, he soon dropped out of school to pursue his dreams in Bollywood.

 Breakthrough in Bollywood

Salman’s acting career was initiated with a small role in the movie “Biwi-O-Biwi” (1988), but it was with “Maine Pyar Kiya” (1989) that he received his first break. The movie, by Sooraj Barjatya, was a massive hit and made Salman a romantic hero. His on-screen chemistry with co-star Bhagyashree stole hearts, and the movie’s music became iconic. It marked the beginning of a string of superhit films in early ’90s, the first one being “Baaghi: A Rebel for Love” in 1990 and then came “Sanam Bewafa” in 1991. Stardom Among leading actors in Bollywood, no one was more charismatic or fit than Salman Khan or more stylish. He seemed to be the favorite actor of everyone who saw all his films. In two of his very successful flicks, “Karan Arjun” (1995) with Shah Rukh Khan and “Judwaa” (1997), he showed how he really could do comedy and that he was good at handling action scenes as well. Salman was an instinctive actor who never failed the audience.

 Personal Life and Scandals

Salman Khan has had a life that has been as turbulent as his career. He was involved in many controversies with the most popular actresses, such as Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif. His controversies were mostly law-related, starting from a hit-and-run case in 2002 to being involved in blackbuck poaching in Rajasthan. Despite all these, he had a strong fan base, and his persistence made him a darling for many.

Redemption Phase

Salman Khan’s late 2000s became the turning point. He has made a string of films, which were not doing very well at the box office, but then came “Wanted” in 2009, a film which rebooted his career and cemented his position as the action hero king. He then delivered one success story after the other, such as “Dabangg” in 2010, “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” in 2015, and “Sultan” in 2016, thereby implying that he could take his audiences to the theaters with a series of blockbusters. “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” has also been critically and commercially successful, winning praises for its heartwarming storyline and Salman’s outstanding performance.

Philanthropy and Humanitarian

Work Apart from his cinema, Salman Khan is widely popular for philanthropy. In 2007, he started the Being Human Foundation, with the agenda being education and healthcare facilities to the underprivileged. Thus, it has made him an efficient social worker, supported by fans who appreciate not only his screen personal but the efforts toward society.

More than three decades of experience have ensured that he continues to be an Indian film industry favorite and is held in high regard for his larger-than-life personality and never-say-die approach to the art of cinema.
